SULLIVAN TWP. — The Black River volleyball team showed grit until the very end, but the Pirates saw their season end Tuesday night in a 25-10, 25-10, 25-19 loss to Hillsdale in a Division VI, Northeast 1 first-round game.
SULLIVAN TWP. — It was homecoming weekend for the Black River football team, and the defense came home to help the offense in a 42-0 Lorain County League drubbing of Brookside.
Lorain County won't have a No. 1 seed in the OHSAA girls volleyball tournament this year, but there are plenty of familiar faces in the top 10 as well as a new entry this season.
