Another high school football season is upon us. Can Avon repeat as state champs? How will Lorain do in its new home? Will Elyria Catholic capitalize on a hot finish last season? And will Elyria rebound after a winless year? The Chronicle previews the season for those teams and others.
The sophomore shot a 2-over-par 74 -- 14 strokes ahead of everyone else -- and Keystone posted four of the top six scores of the day on its way to a 347 total. The Wildcats finished 58 strokes ahead of second-place Bay (405).
The Browns have been a huge proponent of the sport for the last several years and a strong advocate for the OHSAA to sanction it. Coach Kevin Stefanski attended the news conference in Canton where the announcement was made.
