Some teams have one featured running back they count on to lead them down the field while others tend to divide up the carries between two backs in what's often referred to as "running back by committee."
The sophomore shot a 2-over-par 74 -- 14 strokes ahead of everyone else -- and Keystone posted four of the top six scores of the day on its way to a 347 total. The Wildcats finished 58 strokes ahead of second-place Bay (405).
Penton's first career hole-in-one on the par-3 fifth hole was the highlight of the day as area teams started off the year at the Amherst Comet Invitation at Oberlin Golf Club.
